libdbi1 software package provides DB Independent Abstraction Layer for C -- shared library, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdbi1
libdbi1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdbi1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdbi1 *
You will get with libdbi1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
